Ramanagara trip
Ramanagrara is a district located at around 80km from Marathalli, Bangalore. As it was already mid of the summer season, we had decided to start our bike trip early in the morning at 4:00AM to avoid being hit by the sun. Eventually we started our journey at 4:20AM. It took us approximately 2hrs to reach Ramadeverabetta including a tea break on the way.
Ramadevara Betta, Ramananagara:
Ramadevara hill
Even though we had reached early, we could not enter inside, as the main gate will be opened at 7:30AM.
First entrance to hill
We then saw a group of people who were trying to enter inside the hill using some other route. Without thinking much we decided to take that long way to climb on the hill. Suddenly we heard some loud voice, when looked around we a saw security guard who was shouting at us, not to climb the hill using wrong route. Respecting his words we then stepped back from taking the wrong route.
The team
As we had nothing to do except waiting for few more hours for the gate to open, we took couple of photos beside the hill. We then headed to nearby hotel to have breakfast. After having Tatte idly and Dosa in a small canteen we went back to Ramdevarabetta. It was around 8:30AM when we reached back again at the Ramadevarabetta. This time gate was opened. Half a kilometer from this main gain we came across another entrance which is the entrance to the temple.

Footprint of Rama at the entance
There were around 400 steps to reach the temple located at midway on the way to hill peak. You will find Lord Shiva and Hanuman temple on the way to Temple. It took us only 20 mins to reach the temple.

The Main Temple
According to the history, this is one of the place where Sri Ramachandra, Seethadevi and Lakshman had spend their Vanavas. You will also find a Pond build by Rama using his power for his wife Sita devi to take bath. Also it is said that Jatayu(Vulture) fought against Ravana in this place when he was trying to kidnap Sita devi.

On right side of the temple there is a way to reach to the peak of the hill. Be careful, when ascending on these steps, as the steps are very steep. We reached the hill peak at 9:00 AM.
Few more steps to reach peak
View from hill top
We started to descend from the peak after having beautiful view of the town from the hill top. It took us 30 mins to reach the hill base. It was around 9:30 am, we started to head towards the 2nd place of the day, Channapatna.
Channapatna:
Channapatna is located 20km away from Ramadevarbetta. This place is well know for Wooden toys. Also called as "Gombegala ooru" in Kannada which means the "Town of Toys". These wooden toys are crafted in small scale industries by local workers. You can find these toys in Channapatna and on Bangalore - Mysore highway road.
Wooden toys
We found a Channapatna toy shop while going to Channapatna. So we decided not to travel further to Channapatna. The shop had many unique collection of wooden toys. These toys are better and safer than any Chinese product toys. After purchasing few toys we headed to last place of the day Janapadaloka. We reached Janapadaloka at 11:00AM.
Janapada Loka
Janapada loka is a folk museum situated in Ramanagra on Bangalore - Mysore highway. It is also known as Karnataka Folk Museum. It houses large collection of rural artifacts describing the essence of folk literature, music, dance, festivals, village lifestyles.

Grind Stone
Beesu Kamsale Art
There is a small museum which contains the items which were used in old times. As taking photos within the museum was prohibited, I couldn't click all of them. Somehow I managed to click couple of photos.
Walking Sticks
Measures
We then had food and juice in a nearby hotel and started to head towards Bangalore at 12:30 PM. We reached Bangalore at around 2:30 PM.
I feel, this is one of the short and quick trip anyone can plan for a day trip near Bangalore.
